Witnessing the missing pieces throughout her community, Dani G started this podcast aiming to create an everlasting connection. This connection stems from the untold stories, and overlooked contribution throughout time. As a tattoo artist in the industry for over 14 yrs now, and business owner Dani has had the privilege to embrace and experience the changes of the past, in the relation to the future. She came to realize the mentors and idols of the community were not being heard or recognized. She saw the industry having a lack of history and value to the future generations. This podcast is a means of documentation to allows these stories to never die, and be heard across all generations and community throughout time.
In hope, she aims to spark inspiration and revitalize a unique community that never had an opportunity to be understood and valued.
Dani G grew up as local wahine in Waimanalo, O’ahu. As a child, Dani was always drawn to art and the creativity and inspiration it feeds. Through dedication and drive this became her entire world. As an experienced tattoo artist, she was able to create connections, and find insight in a constantly changing industry. In 2015, with her bachelors degree in fashion, her world expanded with her vegan bag brand, Oceans End. Soon to follow BeachPark Tattoo was opened in 2019 as a co-owned tattoo and piercing shop. Time continued, and not only did her company grow, but so did her family. As a mother of 2, Dani’s eyes opened to all the ups and downs of motherhood, and the impact this world has on the future.
